This message invites us to rediscover something we often lose as we grow older: the pure joy of living. Drawing from Ecclesiastes 3:12-13, Ecclesiastes 8:15, and Matthew 18:1-3, we're challenged to examine whether we've become so consumed by the seriousness of adult responsibilities that we've forgotten how to truly enjoy the life God has given us. The sermon reminds us that when Jesus called a little child and told His disciples they must become like children to enter the kingdom of heaven, He wasn't just talking about simple faith. He was pointing to the way children approach life itself with wonder, trust, and unbridled joy. Children don't worry about bills or reputation. They dance without caring who's watching. They turn mundane tasks into games. They live fully in each moment. As adults, we've learned to be skeptical, serious, and self-conscious. We've prioritized work over play, productivity over presence, and we risk reaching the end of our lives wishing we had enjoyed it more. God's desire isn't for us to live in constant drudgery but to experience life to its fullest, finding satisfaction not in material wealth but in proper priorities: God first, spouse second, children third, and church fourth. When we align our lives this way, joy becomes possible even in trials, and we become compelling witnesses to a world that desperately needs to see what genuine Christian joy looks like.
