This message takes us on a profound journey into the heart of trust and expectation in our relationship with God. Drawing from Jeremiah 29:11-13, Jeremiah 33:1-3, and the Beatitudes in Matthew 5:1-12, we're invited to examine a question that shapes our entire spiritual life: What do we truly expect from God? The central insight is both challenging and liberating—our expectations of God reveal the depth of our trust in Him. When we expect little, we receive little, not because God withholds, but because we haven't dared to believe His promises. God declares He has plans to prosper us, give us hope and a future, listen to our prayers, and answer us. Yet how often do we lower our expectations because life has taught us not to trust? We've been hurt, disappointed, and let down by people, and unconsciously, we transfer that broken trust onto God. The message calls us to vulnerability—to be real with God about our doubts, fears, and struggles. He already knows our hearts anyway. What transforms our faith is daring to get to know God through His Word, through authentic prayer that listens as much as it speaks, and through worship that flows from genuine expectation. Our level of expectation doesn't just affect our prayer life; it shapes how we worship, how we share our faith with others, and how we live out our beliefs. When we truly expect God to be faithful, our entire countenance changes, and others notice the difference.
